Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Trust is a not-for-profit organization established with a vision to improve the lives of poor and marginalized people of Nepal. We envision our organization to work effectively in Education, Health and Sports as our key areas in next five years. Currently to come par to that vision we are promoting sports development and women empowerment in Nepal through sports for all campaigns. We believe, the efforts of the organization like ours will not only help develop sports in the nation but also promote sports tourism which is of immense importance for developing nation like Nepal. While in Nepal where most of the NGO’s are focusing much on improving the lifestyle of rural communities through various entrepreneurial and financial aids, we are working towards sports development and then there comes a big “WHY???”, and the answer, “We believe sports can act as the tool for peace, equality and empowerment. Being established on October 2nd, 2014, we are a young and dynamic not-for-profit organization currently striving to create impact from the work we do in the sports industry. The hunger to develop women sports in Nepal has led us to organize 3 National Women’s Volleyball Championship yearly in the past three years. We have also sponsored New Diamond Academy, a national women’s volleyball team for two years. Sher Bahadur Memorial Trust has also awarded many Volleyball Players through various scholarship schemes. We have also been supporting various national and international volleyball tournament organized by Nepal Volleyball Association. Besides volleyball, Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Trust has also been organizing Open Badminton Tournament. In order to keep up with our other focus areas, SBKM Trust is currently working indirectly for the upliftment of Education and Health. The trust has donated hospital beds to Pashupatinath Development Trust.
